I'm an avid reader and have accumulated quite a few books about infidelity, many that I saw recommended here years ago. I always donate my books to the local town book sale, but feel a little awkward walking up to the ladies in town and handing them a large box of books focused on infidelity and healing your marriage.

I no longer want these books and really don't have the space for them....what do you all do with these books when you're done with them?

Some have posted here on SI that they have books available.

Interested members will ask about them then arrangements for shipping can be made.

Charity shops here (UK) have "bins" in recycling areas where you can drop clothes and other things (DVDs, books, etc). Not sure if you have something similar?

Oh! Our local libraries have "Friends of the Library" groups that take donated books and sell them for deep discounts ($0.50 for hardcovers and $0.25 for paperback). They have donation areas as well. Usually you'll see paper sacks full of books. If that's an option, I'd just put them in a bag and leave them in the donation area.

ETA: The proceeds from the Friends of Library sales go back into improvements for the library (community classes, updates to the children's rest/reading area, etc).

I usually donate to the local library book sale in the summer, however, it's a small town and we hand the books to the ladies at the table...not sure how anonymous that would be, but I could take them to a bigger town with a drop off spot.

I'd be happy to ship to someone if they wanted them....

((somanyyears)) you are so right....and it's so sad we ever needed them in the first place.

Thanks for your responses.....I will look in the paper for a larger donation sight.....

I might want them! I love to read! I have been searching Amazon weekly for new books on this topic but there is SO much. I get overwhelmed!

I've been hesitant to take out from the library too, medium sized town but I know EVERYONE the librarians are eaither parents of kids I grew up with or my kids friends....don't need to air my dirty laundry there, lol!

I can't PM yet and don't want to put my personal info on here publicly...hmmmm.
