....Overcoming the secret legacy of male depression. But its not just about depression but more about how men are socialized to deny feelings, act like feral beasts, etc.

Mr Psych said hes gotten more from this book than 2 years in IC. The ideas spoke to him in a way he was willing to hear and accept.

Recommended by my IC for both myself and Mr Psych to read. Very glad we did.

Author is Terrence Real

Oh, wow.

Thanks so much for this recommendation.

Of course, my H wouldn't go to IC even, but I try to be hopeful.

At this point, I have no realistic hopes for a closer marriage, but rather that he can be a happier, healthier person.

My H continues to read this book and gain solid insights and so much of it 'speaks' to him. He shared with his IC who is also going to get the book! And "Prince of Tides" is mentioned in there, so H went to the library this weekend and picked up that one, too. Books like this really have been helpful to my H as he digs into his past to understand his FOO and his development. I'm glad others are interested and I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
