Any amateur writers?

I started writing some fan fiction earlier this year and have found it to be very enjoyable. I have zero intentions of ever publishing it; I really only use it as an outlet.

The main protagonists have been through a lot in the story and have decided to give them a break of sorts. But now I’ve become stuck. I’ve been trying to come up with interesting topics but most seem rather bland.

If anyone has ever run into writers block, can you recommend anything I could try to get past it?

I'm a writer (no longer amateur), and the best thing I've found is to stop writing and focus on reading, watching shows, and playing narrative-heavy games - basically, doing things that inspire me. Traveling often works, too. Pressuring myself to come up with ideas rarely works. Letting my mind relax while also consuming art that fuels creativity often works well.
