I can't figure it out either, Tred.

Honestly I was happy to be able to donate without standing up and shouting at my monitor after fucking with paypal for 10 minutes and giving up again. If I need to embarrass myself with old posts I'll look at my journal.

A couple of questions, and I'm sorry to be so nitpicky; it's the side of me that still thinks going to law school in a few years is a good idea.

1. Does the payment need to be made all at once, or can it be made in installations? Will regular donations count, or only specified transactions for this purpose? This may have already been answered in the question about separate transactions, but I really want to know of I can dedicate my $50 towards Moo's pedi fund

2. Is SI fully PCI Compliant? Who sees my credit card info? Is it retained in any way, either electronically or in paper form? Also, is SI a registered 501(c) 3?

3. Since the donations are intended to be made annually, will there be some sort of reminder sent out when payments are due, or will accounts just revert to their original format until the next payment is made?

4. Does the system operate on a calendar year, or will it extend out 12months from the date of donation?

I came up with more.

5. Does this mean anything for the fate of the auction block?

6. How big of a donation do we need to make to get a pool pass?

Will the platinum membership give us access to old private messages as well?

There's a lot of history in my old private messages that I would love to access again. Also, I had so much wise support from more experienced SI members I'd love to have those old letters back.

I scanned the earlier posts and didn't see anything on pm's. Sorry if I missed it.

The donation page fails attempting to validate my username.

Thank you for reporting this. Your username will now be recognized.

1. Does the payment need to be made all at once, or can it be made in installations? Will regular donations count, or only specified transactions for this purpose? This may have already been answered in the question about separate transactions, but I really want to know of I can dedicate my $50 towards Moo's pedi fund

The first year of the upgrade is charged all at once. Subsequent years are part of the subscription and billed monthly starting one year from your upgrade. You may cancel your upgrade before the monthly payments kick in. Although canceling prior to the end of your first term will prematurely end your access to the new features.

2. Is SI fully PCI Compliant? Who sees my credit card info? Is it retained in any way, either electronically or in paper form? Also, is SI a registered 501(c) 3?

We are fully PCI compliant. We do not store your credit card information in any form. Once it has been processed it is disposed of regardless if the transaction is successful. SI is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Any contributions are tax-deductible.

3. Since the donations are intended to be made annually, will there be some sort of reminder sent out when payments are due, or will accounts just revert to their original format until the next payment is made?

After your first year anniversary your monthly subscription will begin and the monthly payment will be charged automatically unless you cancel prior to your payment date. Upgrades made today will begin being charged the monthly fee on 9/21/2013.

4. Does the system operate on a calendar year, or will it extend out 12months from the date of donation?

It is based on the date your initial upgrade was initiated.

I came up with another one.

5. Does this mean anything for the fate of the auction block?

You will now be able to pay for your auction items via credit card.

I can't wait to read my first posts and seek out those who replied to say thank you.

I tend not to post in JFO as I am afraid of not giving the same quality of advice I received.

Now with access to those posts... They will almost be a tutorial in how to help the newbies. Can't wait to pay some of that forward.

Great initiative. And I sincerely hope you are now able to

Am glad you guys have come up with a way to keep this site going. It's a lifesaver!

About three weeks ago, I made a donation that would cover a platinum membership. Is there any plan to allow those who contributed within the last month to upgrade or are we required to make another donation?

Thanks......

No...there is a strict No Refund agreement that you(general term) must click off on before continuing with the upgrade.

Alex...

I'm not sure what MH's plans were for recent past donations...I'll ask him and he'll either post in here (when he gets up...lol!) or I will
